Social Affairs Ministry establishing women empowerment centers

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor said that her ministry is establishing centers for the empowerment of women in Marib and Taiz, two government strongholds.
Dr. Ibtihaj Al-Kamal said in a statement to Saba that other centers for rehabilitating women exposed to violence are also being established, noting that the government will continue its efforts in implementing the plans and programs necessary to provide protection for women and girls from violence in cooperation with all partners.
She affirmed, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, that the government is keen on protecting women from all forms of violence and committed to all international conventions and charters and relevant Security Council resolutions.
