RIYADH - SABA
Saudi Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture has discussed with SPDRY and the FAO ways of supporting Yemen’s fight against invading desert locusts.
In the meeting with FAO and SPDRY representatives, Ahmed Al-Eyadah made clear that the control on locusts proliferation in Yemen will alleviate their hazard in many countries of the region and will lessen the international aid that FAO demands.
He noted that the fight against locusts is presently focused on the grasshoppers’ countries of concentration including Yemen.
