Acting Environment Minister, UNICEF discuss promoting cooperation

Acting Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al Sharjabi, discussed today with the resident representative of UNICEF in Yemen promoting cooperation in the field of water and sanitation projects implemented by UNICEF.

In a via videoconference, Al Sharjabi raised a number of observations that UNICEF should take into account in regards to managing donor funds and the criteria for selecting and determining the areas most in need for support.

He stressed the imperative of the UNICEF’s raising of its level of coordination with the legitimate government.

Al Sharjabi also discussed, with the representative of the National Water and Environmental Sanitation Cluster in the UNICEF the necessary arrangements for the response plan for the year 2021 AD, and agreement on the methodology for developing the plan and the timeline for its preparation with the participation of stakeholders.
