Info Minister condemns Houthi bombardment of Taiz, UN silence
[04/10/2020 05:23]

RIYADH - SABA
Yemen’s Minister of Information condemned on Sunday the heavy Houthi bombardment of neighborhoods in the densely populated city of Taiz early today and the UN’s silence for that .

In a statement to Saba, Muammar al-Eryani said the militia’s “shelling of neighborhoods, terrorization of the population and six-year siege of the city is a collective punishment” policy the militia follows against the people of Taiz who defended the Revolution and the Republic in the face of the Iranian agenda and the Houthi stooges implementing it. He said these bombardments have lately killed and injured dozens of civilians especially people who had just returned to their homes from displacement camps.

Al-Eryani said he was “surprised at the silence of the UN and the whole international community for these acts” demanding a prompt pressure on the militia to lift the siege and end the (rest of the) atrocities in Taiz.”
