Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik discussed Tuesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Christopher Hansel latest developments in Yemen led by Houthi militia's continuous military escalation and targeting civil targets in Saudi Arabia by bombed drones and ballistic rockets.
Prime Minister briefed US diplomat on different issues, including government's commitment on implementing Riyadh Agreement and to the coalition's call for de-escalation in liberated provinces and regaining order in Socotra, pointing out that Houthi recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and their escalations in different warfronts in Yemen is clear indicator on rejecting peace and a defy to international and UN's efforts for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.
He praised US stance for supporting internationally -recognized government and the security and stability of Yemen.
For his part, the US diplomat expressed his country's denouncement to Houthi militia's attempt of targeting civilian areas in Saudi Arabia and continuous military escalation against Yemeni people.
He praised government's support to peace efforts and its commitment to implementation of Riyadh Agreement, as well as efforts it exerts for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.
