Terrorist activities, weapons smuggling will flourish southern coastlines, warns minister
[17/05/2020 09:58]

RIYADH - SABA
Minister of Information Muamer al-Iryani warned of the serious consequences of the declaration of the so-called " self-administration of the south" by the Southern Transitional Council (STC).

He stated that the STC's reckless move is creating an ideal environment for terrorist activities and weapons smuggling businesses in the Yemeni southern coasts, namely smuggling Iranian weapons to Houthi militia.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) al-Irayni blamed the STC for hindering the Yemeni government's efforts to establish security and stability in Aden governorate and southern coasts.

The Minister called on the International Community to support the legitimate government's efforts to maintain security and stability and to enable the Yemeni coast guards to play their role in combating terrorist activities and weapons smuggling.
