The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. A Yemeni military commander leading one of the divisions of the Yemeni military, the First Military Region, said his division "won't allow for militias or "paramilitary units outside the regular military to be formed" in Wadi and Sahra Hadhramout in eastern Yemen.

Chairing an meeting for the Region, Maj. Gen. Saleh Taymas said, "we are in constant contact with the leadership of the local authority to preserve the state institutions and perform our constitutional duty."

He said the Region has worked to spare Hadhramout any conflicts and will stay the course.
