President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said Yemen won't be a hotbed for devastating ideologies or a backdoor for infiltrators who want to destabilize the region.
In an address to the nation on Wednesday evening on the occasion of the approach of Ramadan, Hadi said the ongoing six year war in Yemen "has never been our choice and we have tried by all possible means to avoid it even after the rebel milita triggered it."
"We have worked to end it, offering concessions after concessions. Most recently we ceased fire in all frontlines upon the call of the UN Secretary General's call … but unfortunately the militia as usual availized themselves of the truce and intensified aggression to the point of firing ballistic missiles on the neighborhoods and residential areas of the city of Marib."
