High Economic Council reviews economic situations in light of coronavirus implications

The High Economic Council held session on Tuseday presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik, Chair of the Council.

The discussions intended to review the developments of the economic and financial situations in view of the subsequent consquencies of the coronavirus panedmic.

The deliberations which held via closed-circuit television focussed on the potential implications of the coronavirus pandemic upon the national economy in different fields.

The discussions explored action-plans to mitigate the economic impacts upon the Yemeni citizen, namely prices of basic commodity.

The Council directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to quickly get accomplished the survey of food provision supplies.

The Prime Minister ordered the Ministry of Planing to actively communicate with the donors and Yemen's partners in development to mobilize the necessary finances to fund the emergency plans to deal with the potential impacts of the coronavirus upon the economic and development situations.
