The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received on Tuesday here in the interim capital Aden the delegation of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI) headed by Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa Kolith Soleiman.
The delegation included representatives of the WHO and the UNICEF.
The discussions focussed on the GAVI's efforts and contribution to the Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen, specifically in the area of immunization and securing the needed vaccines to save children and help health sector to recovery.
The Prime Minister stated that the government is very keen to increase cooperation and partnership with the GAVI and other relief international organizations.
Ma'een highly appreciated humanitarian support provided by the GAVI that has been very helpful for Yemen.
For her part Soleiman breifed the Prime Minister on the GAVI's interventions, mainly in securing the vaccines.
