The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Awareness campaign against landmines launched in Shabwa

In coordination with the Social Affairs Ministry branch office, the Executive Center for Mine Action in Shabwa launched a workshop on Sunday to ratchet up awareness on the hazards of landmines left from the previous armed clashes in the governorate.
Financed by the UNICEF, the 40-day workshop involves 50 male and female volunteers from CSOs in operating in Shabwa.
The workshop goes under the slogan "Beware, Avoid, Stay Clear, Don't Touch Strange Objects."
