Minister of Information Muamer al-Iryani stressed the importance role of audio-visual media institutions in countering the divisive media discourse promoted by Iran-allied Houthi militia. "
Audio media role must be reinvigorated to contribute to the government's battle against the Houthi sectarian militia's coup and divisive media rhetoric that have negative impacts upon the Yemeni society social fabric", he said.
His remark came as he convened a session Tuesday included senior officials in charge of the Radio and TV stations.
The meeting aimed to discuss the 2020 media action plan of Sana'a Radio Station.
Al-Iryani advised doubling down efforts to manage the challenges facing Sana'a Radio and improve the audio media message
to contribute effectively to countering the militia's sectarian media discourse and misleading campaign.
