Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women

The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. PM urges practical solutions to fuels shortages crisis

Prime Minister DrMa'een Abdulmalik stresses the importance of adopting immediate practical measures at national and local level to handle the problem of fuels shortages.

His statement came as he presided over a meeting Sunday in the interim capital Aden aimed to secure the necessary fuels supplies.

The session included Minister of Finance Salim bin Boreik, Minister of Electricity and Energy Eng. Mohammed al-Anani and Director of Oil Company in Aden Entissar al-Arrashah.

They decided to set up committees from the authorities in charge to undertake supervision over tenders to ensure equal opportunity for all traders and put an end of the monopoly and manipulation in fuels market.
