ADEN-SABA
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has reiterated the ending the military coup that the theocratic Houthi militia mounted in September 2014 and restoring the Yemeni state "is our cause."

In an address to the nation on Friday, the eve of the 52nd anniversary of the Independence Day November 30, he said the mighty people of Yemen have no choice "but to stand up with an unflinching resolve in the face of conspiracies" against them until the goal of a federal Yemen based on justice, equality and good governance is achieved.

"The big Yemen is our goal, the federal state project is our project, and ending the coup … is our cause, and we will rally behind that no matter the costs," he said.

Hadi said that peace "will remain a strategic choice for us, however. For war was only imposed on us." "We will keep extending hands for peace … but a comprehensive and a sustainable one based on the three relvant terms of reference. A peace that leads to one (Yemeni) state, one government, and one army. A peace under which we work together for a federal state that guarantees (the rights) of everyone.

"Therefore, I call upon the Houthi militia and on all those who believe the use of arms can be a solution to act responsibly."

Hadi appreciated the help of friendly countries mainly Saudi Arabia, represented by King Salman in Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for supporting Yemen's peace and security and working to patch up rifts in Yemen towards restoring the Yemeni state.
