The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen, China discuss coordinating positions in international forums

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad al-Hadhrami discussed Monday with Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Kang Yong cooperation between the two countries and coordinating positions in international forums.
He pointed to Yemen's support to joint release made by Representative of the State of Kuwait before UN's Third Committee in New York, which opposed politicizing human rights issues and confirmed respect of state's sovereignty and not interfering in their affairs.
On the other hand, Minister al-Hadhrami praised the role of China's government supporting Yemen in different fields.
He reviewed latest political developments and peace process.
For his part, the Chinese diplomat confirmed his country's firm position supporting Yemen and support to UN envoy to Yemen for reaching a solution to Yemen's crisis on the bases of the three references; GCC Initiative, outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
He pointed to continuity of Chinese humanitarian assistances to Yemen, hoping restoration of security and stability in Yemen soon.
