Authority, in the temporary capital Aden, confirmed that airlines, international organizations and operators must obtain a prior flight permission from the Authority to enter the airspace of the Republic of Yemen, as it is the official civil aviation authority of the country.

Emergency meeting held in Mahra to prepare for cyclone Kyarr

An emergency meeting was held today in the province of Al-Mahra chaired by the by the Secretary General of the province's Local Council Salim Nimer to discuss the necessary preparations in anticipation of the tropical cyclone Kyarr expected to hit the eastern Yemen coasts in the coming days.

The directors of the executive offices and the security and military institutions in the province reviewed the measures taken and available means to counter the impact of the cyclone. They also discussed the stocks of food, water, medicines and fuel that need to be readied hurriedly before the cyclone arrives.

The meeting approved the formation of a mini-emergency committee chaired by the Secretary-General and the membership of the Director of Security of the province and the Chairman of the Joint Operations Room and the Secretary of the Governor and a number of executive offices, to communicate and coordinate with the leadership of the Arab Coalition to help overcome the expected risks by preparing the necessary equipment and vhicles.
