DEAD SAEA-SABA
Minister of Education Dr AbdullahLamlas participated today, Thursday, in the opening session of the discussions of the Local Education Group (LEG) held in the Dead Sea area of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordanian.
The LEG comprises of a number of countries in the region and international partners including the UNESCO, UNICEF, WB, WFP, USAID, GIZ and IIEP.
The discussions touched upon the Transitional Plan for Education (TPE) in all governorates of the Republic of Yemen. The plan is reported to have been approved at total cost ($350) million.
The conveners also approved to call for international conference to finance the TPE.
The Minister of Education stated that it is very important to accelerate the arrangements for initiating the implementation of the TPE following it is officially approved, ratified by the meeting.
