Up to 3 thousand Houthi landmines destroyed in Taiz

The National Program for Demining (NDP) reported that its engineering teams managed to extract, collect and destroy as many as 3 thousand landmines, explosive devices and unexploded ammunitions planted by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen in the governorate of Taiz.

Director General of the NDP brigadier general Ameen al-Aqail told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the NDP's engineering teams in cooperation with the Saudi program (MASAM) destroyed on Tuesday 500 anti-individual and 2500 anti-vehicles landmines and dozens of explosive devices and unexploded ammunitions.

These large amount of landmines planted by Houthi militia's militants in the districts of al-Wazyia, Mawza'a and Yekhtil of Taiz governorate.
