[15/10/2019 03:18]

MARIB-SABA
Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Mohammed al-Maqdashi said the Yemeni people and armed forces are able to defend the country and finish liberating it from Houthi militants who seized power and cities in a military coup in 2014.

Addressing a military graduation ceremony in Marib on Tuesday, he said, "the armed forces are fighting the nation's battle against Houthis and the Persian agenda … are besieging the militia in Hodeidah, and standing at gates of Sana'a. We will not abandon one grain of the country's soil."

"The army won't relinquish its constitutional and national duty of countering the rebel militias, and terrorist and extremist groups."

He praised the Saudi support in building Yemen's armed forces and helping the Yemeni people fight for the control of their territories from the Iran affiliate Houthi militia.
