U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

FM, Dutch Ambassador discuss Yemen peace

RIYADH-SABA
Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Hadrami and the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen, Irma Marie van Duron the UN-led peace process in Yemen and the required international pressure on Houthis to get them to honor their commitments under the signed ceasefire and withdrawal deals.

Al-Hadhrami referred to the government's efforts to return to the capital Aden to run state institutions in place of the UAE-backed rebels, known as the Southern Transitional Council.

He reiterated the Yemeni government's adherence to the three basic Terms of Reference in regards to any peace deal with the Houthi rebels in the north.

The government supports the efforts of the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths as he seeks to broker a solution to the years long conflict
He appreciated the Saudi efforts to end the STC rebellion and restore peace.
