Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hadhrami raised the rebellion issue by Iran-backed Houthis in north Yemen and UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in southern Yemen in a meeting with the UN chief here today.
Al-Hadhrami who is representing Yemen in the UN General Assembly meetings said Yemen trusts the UN's capability to push for implementing its resolutions concerning Yemen to secure the restoration of the Yemeni state and preservation of the country's unity and security.
He stressed the imperative of getting Houthis to honor the Stockholm Agreement to achieve peace in Hodeidah as a starting point. He regreted the UAE's recent deviation from the stated mission of the Arab Coalition by, instead of supporting the government, turning against, supporting STC rebels and launching air raids against the Yemeni army.
