Ministry of Social Affairs Issues Urgent Humanitarian Appeal over Deteriorating Conditions in Taiz
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor issued Tuesday an urgent humanitarian appeal to international and regional organizations and agencies, associations, institutions, unions, local and foreign civil society organizations and its private-sector partners, calling for an immediate action and intensified efforts to alleviate the suffering of citizens and respond to the growing humanitarian needs in Taiz Governorate.

Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Baoom and the deputy head of the International Committee of the Red Cross discussed the interventions of the Red Cross in the field of health emergency specialties, primary health care and artificial limbs in various parts of Yemen. In a meeting in the interim capital Aden, the minister stressed the importance of
strengthening partnership between the two sides and the Red Cross's intensifying of interventions in supporting healthcare for patients of chronic diseases such as diabetes and kidney failure centers.
Baoom also urged the Red Cross to expedite the completion of rehabilitating some health facilities in Aden.
