Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Maqdashi has affirmed that the process of building the Yemeni army on nationalistic principles is continuing.

Presiding over a meeting of top generals in the Defense Ministry here on Monday, he said the army is being built apart from favoritism and narrow loyalties and that the financial and administrative irregularities are being corrected.

He said that disciplined and organized army is the guarantee of state preservation and national sovereignty.
