Minister of Planning Seeks British Support for National Development, Stability Plan
The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah al-Zouba held talks today, Monday, in London, with the UK Minister of State for Development Baroness Jenny Chapman on the Yemeni-British cooperation and the aspects of the British support for Yemen.

Yemen, Saudi Arabia activate technical education treaty

Yemen's Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training and Saudi General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training agreed on Sunday on activating joint cooperation agreement and exchanging expertise in technical and vocational training.

Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Abdulrazzaq al-Ashwal and Governor of Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation honored this agreement.

The Saudi corporation provided to Yemeni technical education more than 1200 training units and programs in this field and handing over regulations organizing the vocational activity to be in consistence with Yemen's real situation.

The two parties also agreed on training senior trainers on technical and vocational programs and mechanism for communication for activating the treaties and embodying partnership between the two countries.

Minister al-Ashwal reviewed situations of technical education and vocational training in Yemen and destruction inflicted it over Houthi militia's war on institution's infrastructure.

"The Ministry has made instant programs and projects for improving technical and vocational education and we hope through them activating partnership with the General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training, which has become a house for experience for technical and vocational education in the Arab World," he said.

He made it clear that there are more than two million young people out of schools could be attracted by evil forces and terrorist groups and thus the ministry is aware of having programs and projects targeting youth.
