The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Ministry of Planning reiterates keenness to facilitate int'l organizations mission

The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation reiterated its keenness to provide all facilities to international organizations offering the necessary services and support to the Yemeni people in different parts of the country.

Minister of Planning Najeeb al-Awj made remarks to this effect during a meeting his ministry held convening international and non-governmental organizations in the temporary capital Aden today.

Al-Awj stressed the importance of continuing meetings and consultations between the ministry and international organizations to overcome the difficulties they face as they offer aid to the Yemeni people.

He pointed to the government's recent meetings with partners from the Arab countries, the World Bank and the European Union to discuss ways of supporting Yemen in various fields and moving to human development in order to create employment opportunities for youth and various groups, especially in the fisheries and agricultural sectors.
