Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior Ahmad al-Maysary has valued efforts of Sweden for hosting peace talks in Stockholm for realizing peace in Yemen.
In his meeting with Swedish Ambassador to Yemen, the Swedish Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa Peter Semneby on Wednesday, al-Maysary confirmed keenness of the Republic of Yemen-represented by the President Hadi- on realizing just and inclusive peace on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.
The Minister and the Ambassador also discussed developments on implementing Sweden understandings led by Houthi militia's withdrawal from Hodeida city and its three ports. He pointed to Houthi stubbornness and rejection of implementing what has been agreed upon in Sweden.
For his part, the Swedish diplomat confirmed his country's support for reaching to peaceful solution in line with international effort for implementing Stockholm agreement and realizing security and peace in Yemen.
