Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani honored the US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller with the ministry's Honor Shield on Wednesday in recognition of his efforts in promoting peace in Yemen since he assumed his post as a US Ambassador in May 2014.
Al-Eryani praised the efforts of Tueller and the role of the United States in assisting Yemen and supporting its unity and security and stability during this extraordinary period especially since the Houthi militia's coup on 21st September 2014.
Al-Eryani stressed that Yemen, headed by His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, appreciates the role of the United States in supporting the country's government and the government's right to counter the coup and restore state institutions.
The American ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Yemeni government and to Al-Eryani, stressing that Yemen and the United States of America have excellent and stable relations. He reiterated his country's stand in supporting Yemen's unity, security and stability and in realizing the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
