Cabinet: UN infirmness emboldens Houthis to go farer in defying int'l will
[30/01/2019 05:44]

ADEN-SABA
Yemen's Cabinet said the infirmness of the UN and the UN Security Council in the face of Houthi stubbornness emboldened the rebel militia to go way farer in defying the international will.

In a regular meeting in the temporary capital on Wednesday, the Cabinet called on the UN to lay the blame of hindering peace in Yemen on the responsible warring party clearly and squarely.

The Cabinet said the militia is meeting the government's commitment with more blood shedding and disregard for peace agreements.

The Cabinet cited, as an example, the Houthi opening of fire on the motorcade of the head of the UN monitoring team in Hodeidah, the prevention of the team from visiting the city's mills and the killing and injury of dozens of civilians in a shelling on an IDPs camp in Hajjah in northern Yemen a few days ago.
