Yemen's army has extracted and dismantled 7,000 landmines planted by the Houthis before fleeing their sites in Kitaf of Saada, the stronghold of the coupist militia.
The commander of a battalion of engineers Sayf Asalafi "the military engineering teams extracted and dismantled 7,000 landmines of different sizes and shapes.
"The militia deliberately plant landmines in the 'international highway', farms, villages and residential areas," he said. "The army's teams are continuing to extract these mines to pave the way for the return of the displaced people back to their hometowns."
The rebel militia has planted hundreds of thousands of landmines in different parts of the country over the course of the ongoing war
