Basic commodity imports worth 314 million in 2018 from Saudi deposit

A session held Saturday in the premises of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) devoted to review positive results of opening letters of credits to import basic commodities subsidized by the Saudi $2billion deposit in 2018.
Total sum of imported basic commodities amounted to $314 million, %61 went for wheat and %20 for rice.
Requests for $126 million were also approved and in a wait for funds to be deposited by traders.
Governor of the (CBY) Dr Mohammed Zemman said the UN is working on organizing an International Conference scheduled for next February to help Yemen.
Zemmand added that arrangements are underway for talks about transferring the funds of International Organizations operate in Yemen and donor countries through the (CBY) in the temporary capital Aden.
