The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. The Arab Republic of Egypt welcomed the agreement and understandings announced about today Thursday after concluding Yemeni peace consultations in Sweden on Hodeida City, its ports, exchanging prisoners and kidnapped people and onTaiz City.

"What has been accomplished is a significant and prime step in the framework of reaching to an inclusive and political solution in accordance with the UN Resolution 2216 and the rest of other relevant references of the admirable solution in Yemen," said the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a release.

The release valued international and UN efforts exerted for realizing agreements and understandings in Sweden consultations.

The ministry stressed significance of continuing with the positive spirit and committing to implementing what has been agreed upon for ending suffering of the Yemeni people.
