Central Bank Board Approves Measures to Strengthen Financial and Monetary Stability

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Yemen approved on Thursday a set of measures and directives aimed at improving institutional performance and reinforcing financial and monetary stability, concluding its sixth session of the year in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Central Bank Governor and Board Chairman Ahmed Ahmed Ghaleb.

Food security in Yemen discussed

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Najeeb al-Aweg discussed on Monday with the Regional Representative of Food and Agriculture Organization Salah al-Haj the ongoing projects and future plans of the organization for food security via supporting agricultural and animal wealth projects.

The two parties also discussed improving food security's information network covering 13 provinces.

In the meeting, which included Minister of Agriculture Othman Mujalli, minister of planning valued efforts exerted by FAO's team for strengthening stability in rural areas and supporting food security.

He called for more support to Yemen under these difficult conditions the country is going through.
