Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Othman Mujalli stressed the importance of respecting the Yemeni state' sovereignty and internationally recognized government's legitimacy, consequentially refusing cooperation with any party that may legitimize Houthi terrorism or overstep the country's unity and independence.

Mujalli voiced the legitimate government's willingness to absorb aids and fully collaborate with implementing parties to carry out projects in the country from Sa'adah to Al-Maharah provided that such assistance shall never undermine the government's legitimacy and Yemen's unity or go to the pockets of the putschists to finance their warfare.

Mujalli's statement came during a meeting held Sunday in Amman by the Steering Committee for Enhancing Food Security Program and Boosting Persistence Capacity .

The gathering included senior officials from the EU and FAO and chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Mohammed Assa'di.

The Program's plans and efforts aiming to enhance food security and rural community persistence capacity were key focus of the deliberations.

The discussions touched also upon the EU's support for agricultural sector, Yemeni farmers, joint efforts made by the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO.
