Yemeni fishermensay Iranian vessel endangerstheir lives, livelihoods

MOKHA-SABA
A group of Yemeni fishermen in the Red Sea port areas of Mokha and Dhobab of Taiz province say an Iranian vessel hanging around offshoreis endangering their lives and livelihoods.

The fishermen's union organizeda rally in Al-Mokhato condemn the presence of the Iranian vessel"Savez" which they say even though disguised as a commercial vessel is serving as a command and control center and carrying military hardware including radars and wiretaps all for supporting the Houthi militia.

The fishermen, in a statement, rejected the presence of the vessel in the Yemeni waters and appealed to the government, the Arab Coalition and the UN to protect them and protect their livelihoods against the Iranian military vessels.

The fishermen expressed their surprise at the UN's silence for the activities of the Iranian vessel which affect the fishermen's safety and sources of living.
