President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi received Wednesday Yemen's Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Al-Ashbi.

Al-Ashbi conveyed President Hadi's greetings to the newly elected Pakistani President, reiterating congratulations on his inauguration as President of Republic Islamic of Pakistan.

Conversations touched upon Yemeni-Pakistani bilateral ties, situations in Yemen and underway diplomatic efforts to establish peace based on the three terms of reference.

The Pakistani President reiterated his country's support for the legitimate Yemeni leadership and government, wishing Yemen peace sooner not later, ending Yemeni peoples' ordeal.
