The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen calls on Russia to press for enforcing UNSCR 2216

Under-Secretary of Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Dr Mansour Bajashi reiterated Yemeni government's call on the friendly Russian government and all countries sponsoring political settlement in Yemen to press for implementing the International Security Council resolution 2216.
He also highlighted the need for mounting international pressure upon Iranian regime to stop interfering in Yemen international affairs and refrain from supporting Houthi putschist militia.
Bajash's call voiced as he met Monday with Russian Ambassador to our country Vladimir Dedoshkin.
Bajash's conversations with Dedoshkin touched upon Yemeni-Russian bilateral ties and cooperation.
Bajash celebrated Yemeni-Russian deep, historic relations dated back 90 years ago. He highly appreciated Russian $1 million donation to contribute to World Food Program (WFP) actions in our country.
For his part, the Russian diplomat underscored the importance of supporting the underway efforts by UN's envoy to reach peaceful solution to the conflict in Yemen.
