Cabinet approves salary increase to government's employees

RIYADH-SABA
The Council of Ministers has approved salary increase of 30 percent of the basic salary to civil servants and 50 percent of this increase to the pensioners.

The council also approved release of the annual salary bonus of the government's employees for the period of 2014-2017 to be paid by the beginning of 2019 according to applied regulations.

The meeting dealt with efforts of the Central Bank of Yemen and Economic Committee for implementing economic measures approved in previous meetings of the council on alleviating speculations in money markets.

The council urged hard work to reach to quick and sustainable solutions for improving economic conditions and stop humanitarian conditions deterioration over the war triggered by Houthi militia.

The Council of Ministers urged the ministers of civil service and of finance to take necessary measures to implement this decision and reporting to the Prime Minister regularly.
