Head of investigation committee discusses with UN envoy human rights in Yemen

The Head of the National Committee on Investigation of Allegations of Human Rights Violations in Yemen (NCIAHRVY) Judge al-Muflihi discussed with the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith on Sunday a number of issues associated with human rights.

The two parties also discussed tasks of the committee's included in the International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law across Yemen and making investigations with all parties within measures of impartiality and mechanism of transitional justice.

Judge al-Muflihi reviewed the fifth report released by the committee today in Aden and included investigations made by the committee during February- July 2018.

Griffith praised efforts of the committee in monitoring and documenting violations committed by civilians in different cities and provinces.

He showed readiness of supporting the committee's activities for serving peace process based on the three references.
