His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) underlined the announcement of the establishment of the Multinational Naval Defense Alliance led by Saudi Arabia, describing this move as a strategic initiative and a very important step to boost collective security, protect international navigation and secure vital sea routes in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

President Hadi receives US Ambassador to our country

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received Tuesday evening in Cairo the USA Ambassador to our country Mathew Tuller.

The discussions touched upon several topics of common interests including the developments relating to the situations in the Yemeni national arena.

President Hadi praised constructive Yemeni-American cooperation and coordination and robust bilateral ties between the two friendly countries that helped to serve the mutual interest and aimed to further bolster the desirable security, stability and peace. He stated that the cooperation between Yemen and US also has been useful for supporting the legitimate Yemeni government against the Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup and countering extremism and terrorism of different forms.

The American Ambassador expressed his pleasure to meet President Hadi on the sideline of his constructive state-trip to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to be briefed on the developments in Yemen and the government's efforts aimed to renormalize the situations and reinstate basic services, a matter very important to establish the desirable security and stability.

Mr Tuller voiced pleaser for the President meeting with senior leaders of the General People Congress (GPC) in the Egyptian capital in order to bring the Yemeni political forces and constituencies together.
