Yemen's Ambassador to Nouakchott Salem al-Arada discussed on Wednesday with the Human Rights, Humanitarian Activities and Civil Society Commissioner Mohammad al-Amin OuldSidi enhancing cooperation in human rights between the two countries.
Ambassador al-Arada reviewed latest military, political and humanitarian situations in Yemen, especially Hodeida Province, confirming keenness of the government in security of the province and its port and alleviate suffering of the people over Houthi militia control on the province and its port.
He talked about Houthi militia's violations of Human rights and using Hodeida Port for smuggling weapons from Iran and placing mines at the international strait off Bab al-Mandab for targeting ships crossing the strait and looting the humanitarian aid, which cause more humanitarian suffering.
For his part, the Mauritanian official confirmed his country's support to the legality of Yemen.
