His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, departed today, Friday, from the interim capital, Aden, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold consultations with regional and international actors regarding the latest developments in the local situation, particularly the recent events in the eastern governorates.

Minister Fath denounces shelling Hodeida service facilities by Houthis

Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fath has denounced the continuous systematic terrorism practiced by Houthi rebel militia against civilians in Hodeida and bombing health and service institutions in the province.

He also denounced targeting water tanks in Tohaita District for doubling suffering of the locals.

Fath called upon the UN relief and humanitarian organizations to respond to people's need and doubling inclusive assistances to the inhabitants of the province and providing relief and shelters to the whereabouts of their displacement.

In a statement to Saba, he demanded the humanitarian organizations and the international community to denounce the barbaric crimes practiced by Houthi militia against the people of Hodeida, considering silence on them unacceptable and contradicts UN humanitarian principles.

He confirmed that the humanitarian situation in Hodeida has been catastrophic since Houthi control of the province and seizing it for around three ears.

He called the international community to pressure Houthi militia to stop all systematic crimes against the people there.
