Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Yemany met Wednesday with Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to our country Michael Aron.
Al-Yemany stressed the importance of Houthi militia withdrawal from the city of Hodeidah to save civilians' lives, infrastructure and the remains of the State's institutions in the city that have been seriously damaged ever since the militia has taken over.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the Government's and Arab Coalition's support for the efforts have been made by the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy to Yemen in order to reach agreement about Houthis withdrawal from Hodeida.
Al-Yemany stated that no security and military procedures should precede political arrangements within the course of the comprehensive political settlement aimed to end Houthi coup and reestablish security and stability in the country.
The British diplomat underscored the importance of propping up the UN envoy's good offices; reaffirming the UK Government's support for legitimate Yemeni Government's efforts aiming to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' torment and re-establish peace and stability in Yemen.
