20MGW additional power to meet summer increase demand for electricity in Marib

20 MGW of additional electricity power was put into operation Thursday in Marib province. This increase in electricity capacity is intended to cope with increasingly growing demand for power during summer.

Deputy Governor of Marib Dr Abd-Rabbu Miftah launched the project, describing it as a temporary measure until the electricity network in the province is connected with the Marib-Gas Power Plant.

Strenuous efforts have already been made to get the work of connecting the province electricity network with the Gas-Power Plant accomplished .
