President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has stressed the imperative of upgrading the systems of the Central Bank branches with the latest technological features and facilities. In a meeting with the Central Bank's governor Mohammed Zammam, Hadi highlighted the need to revitalize the e-payments service to lessen the use of paper money.
He also stressed the imperative of financing the government's budget deficit from non-inflationary sources, by resorting to the issuance of securities, bonds and Sukuk in coordination with the Finance Ministry.
