Minister of State meets UN Sanctions Committee member
[09/06/2018 02:36]
RIYADH-SABA
Minister of State for Parliament and Shura Councils Affairs Mohammed al-Himyari met in Riyadh on Friday member of the UN Sanctions Committee on Yemen Fernando Carvajal.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in Yemen including the persistent Houthi atrocities against civilians in the areas that the rebels are maintaining hold on.

Al-Himyari urged the Committee to subject the violent sectarian militia to punishment.

Interpreting the deservedness of Houthis for such punishment, Himyari said: "The putschists violated the human dignity, overran the Yemeni provinces, shelled the cities indiscriminately, planted landmines in villages, roads, pastures and everywhere they had been. The victims of these arms are tens of thousands of Yemenis, many of them women and children and many of the injuries sustained are loss of limbs. In fact the whole Yemeni people are victims of this ferocity of theocrats ."
