RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemani discussed on Tuesday with Australian non-Resident Ambassador to Yemen Ralf King political and military developments in Yemen.
The government has approved it is serious and committed to peace via its positive dealing in different peace talk rounds, said al-Yemani, pointing out that the government provides all needed support to the UN Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith and is flexible in discussing all peace initiatives based on the three references agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally.
"The prime challenge facing peace process is rebel Houthi militia's stubbornness and its insistence on armament and power and rejection to peace principle because it depends on chaos and wars for remaining alive," said Foreign Minister al-Yemani.
He said that the national army has been accomplishing big victories in different warfronts, including the front of the western coast, where they have become 10 KM away from Hodeida City.
He confirmed keenness of the government on protecting civilians and avoiding catastrophic effects of wars and it coordinates with the coalition for taking necessary measure for this purpose.
For his part, the Austrian Ambassador confirmed support of his country's government to legal government in Yemen and efforts of the UN envoy for reaching a political solution to the crisis.
He showed concern over the humanitarian situation in Yemen, hoping Yemen's success of overcoming these conditions soon in the future.
