The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Governor of Socotra Archipelagos province, Ramzi Mahroos, met Sunday with the General Director of Kuwait Red Crescent Society KRCS) Dr Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Awn.
Mahroos expressed deep appreciation for the KRCS's efforts and assistance that significantly helped to relieve the population of the archipelagos in the wake of Mekunu cyclone.
The governor also voiced the Socotra populations' thanks for the Kuwaiti government that quickly rushed to offer them the urgently need humanitarian and relief aids.
Separately, the governor met Sunday with a visiting team from the Social Development Fund (SDF). The team is in charge of developing small and micro- enterprises.
The meeting aimed to discuss topics relating improving the fishermen incomes and develop livestock business in the archipelagos.
