The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Baoom participates in Arab health ministers meeting

The Council of Arab Health Ministers held a meeting today at the headquarters of the Arab League in Geneva, Switzerland, with the participation of a Yemeni delegation headed by Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Nasser Baoom.
The meeting discussed the draft resolutions to be adopted by the Council of Arab Ministers of Health at its 50th ordinary session to be held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva on the sidelines of the 71st session of the World Health Assembly.
Separately in the same day, Baoom met with the Dr Hind Khatib-Othman, the Managing Director of Country Programmes athe Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) and other GAVI officials.
The meeting discussed the support programs provided by to our country.
Baoom spoke highly of GAVi's support to our country in the provision of various vaccines including their initiative to exempt our country from the financial commitments due in recent years in recognition of the current circumstances.
