VP praises Russian support for legitimate government in Yemen

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh highly praised Russia's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the UN envoy's efforts aiming to establish peace in Yemen on the basis of the approved terms of references.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen's statement came as he met Sunday with the Russian ambassador to our country Vladimir Dedoshkin.

Yemeni-Russian bilateral ties and cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

The Vice President has confirmed that the legitimate leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has continued to extend hand for peace that should be based on the GCC's Initiative, its operational plan, outcomes of the National Dialogue and International Security Council resolutions, namely 2216.

The Russian diplomat reiterated his country's support for Yemen and the underway efforts aiming to end the war and establish peace.
