VP: Government has to fight defensive war triggered by Houthi coup

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh has asserted that the ongoing war has been fought by the government backed by Arab Coalition against the Iran-backed Houthi militia is a defensive battle imposed by the Houthi coup.

The Vice President said :" It is a defensive war the legitimate government has to fight against a coup d'état carried out the Iran-backed Houthi militia that took up weapons against the Yemeni peoples' will and national, regional and international consensus".

(Lt Gen) Mohssen's statement came as he paid an inspection visit Thursday to the Reception Military Camp.

The Vice President talks to the troops, praising their high-spirit, urging more training.
